Thanksgiving = Eat & Rot
I actually had to slap my own face to get myself back to reality after FOUR full days of rotting, eating, and spending money. But I have to admit that I really had fun. :P Times like these don't come always, so four days isn't actually that bad at all. Well, I shall just assume that I have gone to vacation and I wasn't at home so I won't feel guilty of not studying. Heheh. We spent our Wednesday evening eating at Mongolian BBQ,and the rain did not stop about 20 of us walking all the way to Main Street just to have this dinner. Impressive. Or was it because it was done in conjunction with Andrew and Caryn's birthday? This is already my third time going I think, but this time I somehow go the correct combination of sauce and spices, i.e. teriyaki, sweet and sour and shitake mushroom, so it was TASTEE. :) After the dinner, again, we fought strong winds and the cold weather only just to arrive at Pinball Pete's to have a go at the DDR machine with our feet and shoes all soaked up. I did not have a good game, but who cares, I will have tons of time playing it next year, since I will move to U Towers, which is just across the street from Pinball Pete's. Good. Thursday morning, it officially snowed! BUT, I had to do my long overdue laundry. Nevermind, fine. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went back to the laundry room to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer. But to my utter shock, I pressed the wrong washer number, my clothes was in washer 4, but I pressed washer 3 when I swiped my card. GOOD. I nearly tore my head off from my neck. I took a few deep breaths, and collect my still unwashed laundry back to my house because I didn't have time to wait anymore, as I promised to attend the Thanksgiving lunch. Okay, talk about the Thanksgiving lunch, it was a not nice. Hmm. But it was better than nothing though I still can't make myself like turkey meat. That aside, we had another unexpected Thanksgiving dinner at night at my place. Qi Ming cooked like a ton of food, but it was nice, apart from the super spicy brinjals. We shooed the guys away after dinner, so that we can quietly share a can of longans among us five girls. *snickers* And I don't think the guys know we had longan until today. HAHAHA. Black Friday morning, a.k.a. super-sale-day. RUBBISH. I made myself wake up at 6am, waited for the bus in the cold, so that I can join the so-called sale at Brairwood Mall. I went into the popular stores and browsed through everything while forcing myself to stay awake. After like four hours, the only thing I bought was a $3 hand lotion, had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and ate two Auntie Anne's pretzels. *Rolls eyes* For dinner, I went to a Tzu Chi Shi Gu's house for dinner. As expected, she made good food, but she made some non-vegetarian dishes as well. But I still like her vegetarian stuff more. I ate until I was bloated, AS USUAL. Saturday morning, at last the bus service resumed. I went to play badminton and had noodles and Noodles and CO. with Pei Ying. Dinner, we celebrated Caryn's birthday again. I don't know why we celebrated twice, but who cares, I had good food. Hah. We went to Kang's and I had a terrific Bi Bim Bop. But on the downside, my freshly laundered jacket smelled like stir-fry food right now. :( We all adjourned to Caryn's place after that for a game of Cranium, a hilarious and dumb game brought by Hui Ying. I part I like the most is the part where a team must choose a puppet and a puppeter and act out something for their teammates to guess. I was the puppet when I had to act "milk the cow". Mei Chen was the puppeteer, but we didn't succeed in guessing that, because she kept turning my hands around and everybody kept guessing "making pottery/clay vases". Today morning was my last day of my eat eat streak. Went to McDonald's with Huey Shann during grocery, but that wasn't anything extreme, just normal lunch. Anyways, I don't even dare to weigh myself right now, though I made an effort to ask Caryn, Azlynn and Pui Yeen to go swim with me tomorrow when NCRB reopens. Anyways, back to reality this time. I have to complete my Microbiology lab notebook and study for my Physics test this coming Thursday, so add oil~! By the way, I stayed up until 2am last night just to watch our fellow Malaysian women's singles badminton player play in China Open. In spite of the sleepiness, that was a great game and she did win. Malaysia Boleh. See, I told you, Malaysian goods are of top notch quality. I am so patriotic. HAHAHA.
