Physics Exam 3

Never been so nervous with my Physics 126 exams before. Will be taking the exam in another 7 hours. It's supposed to be algebra-based and it's supposed to be EASY. OMG~ I don't know what to do now. Quantum physics is not my cup of tea. :( Pray for me.

Thanksgiving = Eat & Rot

I actually had to slap my own face to get myself back to reality after FOUR full days of rotting, eating, and spending money. But I have to admit that I really had fun. :P Times like these don't come always, so four days isn't actually that bad at all. Well, I shall just assume that I have gone to vacation and I wasn't at home so I won't feel guilty of not studying. Heheh. We spent our Wednesday evening eating at Mongolian BBQ,and the rain did not stop about 20 of us walking all the way to Main Street just to have this dinner. Impressive. Or was it because it was done in conjunction with Andrew and Caryn's birthday? This is already my third time going I think, but this time I somehow go the correct combination of sauce and spices, i.e. teriyaki, sweet and sour and shitake mushroom, so it was TASTEE. :) After the dinner, again, we fought strong winds and the cold weather only just to arrive at Pinball Pete's to have a go at the DDR machine with our feet and shoes all soaked up. I did not have a good game, but who cares, I will have tons of time playing it next year, since I will move to U Towers, which is just across the street from Pinball Pete's. Good. Thursday morning, it officially snowed! BUT, I had to do my long overdue laundry. Nevermind, fine. After 45 minutes of waiting, I went back to the laundry room to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer. But to my utter shock, I pressed the wrong washer number, my clothes was in washer 4, but I pressed washer 3 when I swiped my card. GOOD. I nearly tore my head off from my neck. I took a few deep breaths, and collect my still unwashed laundry back to my house because I didn't have time to wait anymore, as I promised to attend the Thanksgiving lunch. Okay, talk about the Thanksgiving lunch, it was a not nice. Hmm. But it was better than nothing though I still can't make myself like turkey meat. That aside, we had another unexpected Thanksgiving dinner at night at my place. Qi Ming cooked like a ton of food, but it was nice, apart from the super spicy brinjals. We shooed the guys away after dinner, so that we can quietly share a can of longans among us five girls. *snickers* And I don't think the guys know we had longan until today. HAHAHA. Black Friday morning, a.k.a. super-sale-day. RUBBISH. I made myself wake up at 6am, waited for the bus in the cold, so that I can join the so-called sale at Brairwood Mall. I went into the popular stores and browsed through everything while forcing myself to stay awake. After like four hours, the only thing I bought was a $3 hand lotion, had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and ate two Auntie Anne's pretzels. *Rolls eyes* For dinner, I went to a Tzu Chi Shi Gu's house for dinner. As expected, she made good food, but she made some non-vegetarian dishes as well. But I still like her vegetarian stuff more. I ate until I was bloated, AS USUAL. Saturday morning, at last the bus service resumed. I went to play badminton and had noodles and Noodles and CO. with Pei Ying. Dinner, we celebrated Caryn's birthday again. I don't know why we celebrated twice, but who cares, I had good food. Hah. We went to Kang's and I had a terrific Bi Bim Bop. But on the downside, my freshly laundered jacket smelled like stir-fry food right now. :( We all adjourned to Caryn's place after that for a game of Cranium, a hilarious and dumb game brought by Hui Ying. I part I like the most is the part where a team must choose a puppet and a puppeter and act out something for their teammates to guess. I was the puppet when I had to act "milk the cow". Mei Chen was the puppeteer, but we didn't succeed in guessing that, because she kept turning my hands around and everybody kept guessing "making pottery/clay vases". Today morning was my last day of my eat eat streak. Went to McDonald's with Huey Shann during grocery, but that wasn't anything extreme, just normal lunch. Anyways, I don't even dare to weigh myself right now, though I made an effort to ask Caryn, Azlynn and Pui Yeen to go swim with me tomorrow when NCRB reopens. Anyways, back to reality this time. I have to complete my Microbiology lab notebook and study for my Physics test this coming Thursday, so add oil~! By the way, I stayed up until 2am last night just to watch our fellow Malaysian women's singles badminton player play in China Open. In spite of the sleepiness, that was a great game and she did win. Malaysia Boleh. See, I told you, Malaysian goods are of top notch quality. I am so patriotic. HAHAHA.

Signs of Death and Decay

As I said before, my previous two blogs just died off, and, I start seeing signs of death in my current newly established blog. Anyways, I managed to dig out some time to update it. :) See, the title just applies to my blog, but not for me. I am exam-free for exactly a week, and I am on a five-day Thanksgiving break! I have already start the party rolling by playing mahjong last night. The game was kinda short, but I was on a winning streak. *smiles* To add onto my party mood, I slept for exactly 12 hours since I don't have classes today. Sweet. But one thing that I wasn't happy about is the rain spoiled my plans to do my two-week-old laundry.
Well, Thanksgiving is here, so I might as well talk a little bit about it. We plan to go eat at the Mongolian BBQ place tonight, and to go shopping on Friday morning. These are the only two plans we have for Thanksgiving this year, which contrasts with our glamorous + fun-packed Chicago trip last year, at least I think so. Monday evening, I see people dragging suitcases going back home. I was hoping that I am still staying in Akasia, which will allow me to go home on Tuesday night. Sigh. Those were the days. I had my last class on Tuesday, which was my Physics discussion. I had this conversation with a girl beside me.
S.Ling: Is this your last class?
Girl: Yea. Excited to go home.
S.Ling: Where's home?
Girl: Not far. In Michigan itself.
S.Ling: Cool, good for you then.
Girl: Are you going home?
S.Ling: Nah, it's too far.
Girl: Is it in another state?
S.Ling: No. I'm from Malaysia.
Girl: *Disbelief* OMG. But..But..How did you end up here?
S.Ling: *Slightly offended but shrugged while smiling* It's 20 hours away by flight
Girl: I would never do that.

To make things worse, the discussion professor went on rambling for 20 minutes about quantum mechanics. About what is the probability of finding an electron in an orbit, and what J.J. Thompson did in his lab. I wanted to die. Anyways, after that class, I got to breathe properly after spending like two weeks in the library straight, for at least 6 hours a day. Hopefully, I will have a good break and gear up for the finals. Meanwhile, I just ordered a cheesy bread and a caesar's salad to my house. :) That's all for now.

Sick..totally

I am so sick for the past few days that I have to put all my studies on hold, which might sound fun to you but I am incredibly worried about my upcoming Microbiology exam next week. Yesterday, I had fever for like the whole day. It kept on coming on and off, like it will come back whenever I am outdoors. I had to skip work yesterday afternoon and went back for a three hour nap. I got too guilty after I woke up, so i decided to study at the library after dinner. I woke up like in the middle of the night not being able to sleep. I think it's because I coughed too much. Today, I skipped study group. The only reason is because I am coughing too much that I feel like my liver is going to come out any second when I cough. I decided to visit the University Health System, hoping that the doctor will prescribe some medicine. To my dismay, it's closed today for some flu shot stuff. I went to the pharmacy instead to get some cough suppressant by Vicks. Hopefully it'll work.

Now I'm at the Duderstadt library, hoping to get some studying done. I need to learn to stop worrying and let things be since I have already worked that hard. I have this incoming freshman friend from Malaysia whom is so excited about coming to UofM. She kept emailing me asking me stuff about CMB major. Not that I am not willing to help her, just want to say that I was like totally opposite of her when I was an incoming freshman. I didn't email any seniors, nor did I find out any requirements etc. Bet she's going to be another super smarty pants. :P

Hmm..Lots of stuff for me to do. Studies for Microbio and Genetics have be stagnant for a while. AND, our California trip needs accommodation arrangement ASAP. Hope I can study in between my coughs today.

Too Bored With Life

I am supposed to go to the library to study for the upcoming exam, but this is the time when I MUST study, but I don't feel like it. And, I am so bored and tired of the studying+studying+studying life, so I decided to start a blog, a REAL blog. Actually, this is already my third blog, the previous two just died off. So if I don't keep this alive, my best friend would kill me. (He knows I am talking about him) I got inspired by some of the bloggers out there, so I thought that I could start one by myself. So here I am.

This blog was created not for writing any great things that happened to me or whatsoever, and I don't think I will have many pictures to post because I don't like to take photographs, and I don't like to be photographed either. This blog is purely for entertainment purposes and to feed my desire of writing. *Laughs*

Just got back all of my exam 2 scores for every subject, great, I did so horribly. I know that you will read up to here and say "you always say that when you get your scores". Yes, I always say that, and the fact is, it is always the truth. It might be that you and me define 'horribly' differently I guess. The next exam is just 9 days away. Guess I have to make myself study anyways. According to the weather forecast, it's going to snow tomorrow, and I am down with a really bad cough and a sore throat. :(
