As I said before, my previous two blogs just died off, and, I start seeing signs of death in my current newly established blog. Anyways, I managed to dig out some time to update it. :) See, the title just applies to my blog, but not for me. I am exam-free for exactly a week, and I am on a five-day Thanksgiving break! I have already start the party rolling by playing mahjong last night. The game was kinda short, but I was on a winning streak. *smiles* To add onto my party mood, I slept for exactly 12 hours since I don't have classes today. Sweet. But one thing that I wasn't happy about is the rain spoiled my plans to do my two-week-old laundry.
Well, Thanksgiving is here, so I might as well talk a little bit about it. We plan to go eat at the Mongolian BBQ place tonight, and to go shopping on Friday morning. These are the only two plans we have for Thanksgiving this year, which contrasts with our glamorous + fun-packed Chicago trip last year, at least I think so. Monday evening, I see people dragging suitcases going back home. I was hoping that I am still staying in Akasia, which will allow me to go home on Tuesday night. Sigh. Those were the days. I had my last class on Tuesday, which was my Physics discussion. I had this conversation with a girl beside me.
S.Ling: Is this your last class?
Girl: Yea. Excited to go home.
S.Ling: Where's home?
Girl: Not far. In Michigan itself.
S.Ling: Cool, good for you then.
Girl: Are you going home?
S.Ling: Nah, it's too far.
Girl: Is it in another state?
S.Ling: No. I'm from Malaysia.
Girl: *Disbelief* OMG. But..But..How did you end up here?
S.Ling: *Slightly offended but shrugged while smiling* It's 20 hours away by flight
Girl: I would never do that.
To make things worse, the discussion professor went on rambling for 20 minutes about quantum mechanics. About what is the probability of finding an electron in an orbit, and what J.J. Thompson did in his lab. I wanted to die. Anyways, after that class, I got to breathe properly after spending like two weeks in the library straight, for at least 6 hours a day. Hopefully, I will have a good break and gear up for the finals. Meanwhile, I just ordered a cheesy bread and a caesar's salad to my house. :) That's all for now.
Hey there, you're not the only person with nowhere to go for thanksgiving :P
